In Loving Memory

Wilhelmina Aldrich

March 4, 1911 November 22, 1998 · Aged 87

She taught half a county to read.

Wilhelmina "Minnie" Aldrich kept a one-room schoolhouse for thirty-one years and played the organ at First Lutheran until the winter she died. She raised four children on a farm north of Cedar Falls, buried a husband young, and was known for a rhubarb pie she would not write the recipe down for. This page keeps her place in the family story.

If you knew Wilhelmina, the family would be glad to hear from you. A sentence is plenty.

Not sure where to start? Any of these can help. Ignore them all if you would rather just write.

Wilhelmina’s family chooses what appears here.
