Obituary

John Bruns, 85, of Greendale, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020. He was born February 1, 1935 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, son of the late John and Lorena (Taylor) Bruns.

John was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the Aurora Loyal Order of Moose and Disabled American Veterans. John loved to fish. He worked as a Gas/Water Meter Reader at Aurora Utilities.

He is survived by his 2 sons, Paul (wife Kimberly) Bruns of Aurora, IN, Terry Lee (wife Bobbi Sue) Bruns of Dillsboro, IN; one brother, Robert (wife Sue) Bruns of Johnson City, TN; one sister, Carol (husband Gaylord) House of Aurora, IN; 5 grandchildren, Cory Bruns, Triston Bruns, Katherine Rowe, Joshua Bruns, Adam Bruns; and one great grandchild, Mason Lee Rowe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lorena Bruns; loving wife, Dora Bruns; and his sister, Louise Bruns.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 11 am to 1 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 1 pm, with Pastor Pat Lanman officiating.
